Solitaire | The 75th Bi-Annual Senior Exhibition

Curated by Jinchul Kim

November 9 - December 12, 2026
SU Art Galleries | Downtown

Salisbury University will present Solitaire, the 75th Biannual Senior Exhibition, from November 9 through December 12, 2026, at the Salisbury University Downtown Gallery. The exhibition features nine graduating student artists showcasing work in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, glass, digital art, and other media.

Inspired by the card game, Solitaire explores the relationship between individuality and community. Although traditionally played alone, the game becomes a metaphor for the artists' shared journey at Salisbury University. Each artist brings a distinct perspective and creative vision, demonstrating how individual voices can come together to form a meaningful collective experience.

The exhibition serves as the capstone experience for the Senior Exhibition course taught by Jinchul Kim. The course aims to synthesize students artistic experiences at SU by having them lead to the planning and execution of a professional art exhibition.

For the nine graduating artists, Solitaire marks both the culmination of their undergraduate studies and the beginning of their next creative chapters. The exhibition celebrates their artistic growth, shared experiences, and individual aspirations as they prepare to pursue new opportunities beyond the university.

Awards Reception: November 20th, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00pm | Downtown Gallery during 3rd Friday Event
