Hataałii: Singe the Head

Hataałii, a Navajo artist, works across visual art, music, and poetry. This program pairs a solo exhibition, Singe the Head, with a live musical performance. Singe the Head examines reservation life and the disorientation of urban existence through oneiric, emotionally charged images, addressing cultural absence and displacement while drawing on Navajo memory to restore continuity. Hataałii will also perform solo, presenting songs that explore life, identity, and community.
